Tom Pidcock Wins Stage 2 of Vuelta a Andalucía
Tom Pidcock powered to his third stage win of the season on Stage 2 of the Vuelta a Andalucía Ruta Ciclista Del Sol, delivering a perfectly executed sprint finish after a decisive attack to catch the leaders the decent of on the Alto de los Villares.

After an aggressive ride on Stage 1, Pidcock approached today’s race with a more calculated strategy, bridging across to the front group containing Pavel Sivakov, Clément Berthet and Brandon Smith Rivera. As the leaders played out their final moves, he seized the moment, launching a well-timed sprint to claim victory and continue his dominant early-season form.


“I played it smart, worked the tactics well, and it’s super nice to get the hands up in the air.”
“I think yesterday I was a bit too ambitious, a bit too active too early, and didn’t really respect the race and the course,” Pidcock reflected. “I paid for it in the final, which was unfortunate, but I learned a good lesson. I also had fun racing, so it wasn’t all bad. Today, I made amends for that—I played it smart, worked the tactics well, and it’s super nice to get the hands up in the air. The team fully committed to me, and it’s nice to be able to repay that”.
This marks Pidcock’s third stage victory of the season, following his two stage wins and overall General Classification title at the AlUla Tour. His early-season form is a strong statement as Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team continues its impressive momentum.

With more opportunities ahead, the team looks to build on this success and make an impact in the remaining stages of the Vuelta a Andalucía.
