For six hours, 14 minutes, and 16 seconds, the bulk of it alone, Cyrus battled the punishing cobblestone sectors, the searing pain in his legs, and the looming spectre of the broom wagon on his wheel. Almost an hour after the winner Mathieu van der Poel, Cyrus Monk, in the colours of Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, entered the iconic Roubaix Velodrome.
