Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team: Racing into 2025 with SCOTT’s New Addict RC
As we kick off an exciting 2025 season, we’re proud to announce the continuation of our partnership with SCOTT, a brand known for their innovation and performance. This year, we welcome the all-new SCOTT Addict RC to our roster, alongside the trusted SCOTT Foil RC, both arriving in a bold new design that reflects our identity as “Research Scientists.”
13 January 2025.
The SCOTT Addict RC represents a significant milestone in cycling innovation. Launched in November 2024, it is the lightest performance road bike on the market, with the Addict RC Ultimate weighing just 5.9 kg. Designed for racing at the highest level, the Addict RC delivers the perfect balance of lightness, stiffness, agility, and stability for unparalleled performance.
David de la Cruz, one of our key riders, shared his thoughts after riding the Addict RC during our Training Camp in Calpe:
David de la Cruz, who has been riding the Addict RC during Training Camp, shared his views: “The new Addict RC is the lightest bike I have ever ridden, and it’s incredible for a climbing bike, taking into account that it’s a disc brake bike with full internal cable routing and aero tube shaping. It’s still feeling fast on the flat and extremely agile when the road goes up, and trustworthy when descending.”
The SCOTT Foil RC continues to be a favorite among our riders. With its perfect combination of aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and comfort, the Foil RC remains one of the fastest bikes in the peloton, delivering consistent performance in every race.
The new graphic design featured on the Addict RC and Foil RC represents the sharp, science-based focus of the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team. In the riders’ new moniker as “Research Scientists”, the bike designs feature emblems of the team’s commitment to “pushing forwards”, inspired by data collection and expeditions. This is all brought together in the sharp black and white contrast with flashing blue detailing – a representation of the team’s values that have always made them stand apart in the peloton.
Tom Pidcock shared his first impressions of the Addict RC: “From the first ride, the Addict RC impressed me. It’s light and nimble and gives me confidence on the descents. That’s what you need in a bike—it gives you confidence. I really can’t wait to take it out there at the first races.”
Beyond the Addict RC and Foil RC, we will continue to rely on SCOTT’s Plasma RC TT for time trials. Our riders will also use the SCOTT Cadence and Centric helmets, both featuring the new design. The Cadence helmet, introduced in 2024, is SCOTT’s fastest racing helmet, designed for optimal aerodynamics while maintaining safety and comfort. Additionally, the team will use the SCOTT Split helmet, SCOTT performance sunglasses, and Syncros Tofino and Belcarra saddles for superior performance and comfort in every race condition.
“The new Addict RC is the lightest bike I have ever ridden…”
Doug Ryder, Team Principle reflects on this continued partnership:
“SCOTT have been providing us with the very best race bikes in the Foil RC and Plasma RC TT since the team’s beginning. To now also be racing the new Addict RC demonstrates SCOTT’s first-class innovation and commitment to performance at the highest level. We are proud to be riding the most innovative and complete bike offering in the professional peloton”
