We’re thrilled to announce that after representing Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team in 2023 Filippo Colombo has re-joined our squad.

In addition to Colombo’s return, we’re delighted to introduce two promising trainees joining our Swiss-registered team this summer: Jan Sommer from Switzerland and Jelte Krijnsen from the Netherlands.

After representing Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team in 2023 Filippo Colombo has re-joined our squad. The talented Swiss rider chose to focus exclusively on MTB during the first part of the 2024 season but will make a return to road racing this August at the upcoming Arctic Race of Norway with Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team colours.

“I really look forward to being back on the road with the team. Artic Race will be my first race back on the road after the break so I don’t have many expectations. The goal is to get some rhythm and some racing kilometres and some hours on the legs. I still have the goal to do a good performance at the World Championships on the MTB at the end of August so these races will be a perfect preparation for the Worlds. In terms of results I think it’s premature but I’m really happy to be back with the team and in Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team colours,” shared Colombo.

Welcoming New Talent: Jan Sommer and Jelte Krijnsen

In addition to Colombo’s return, we’re delighted to introduce two promising trainees joining our Swiss-registered team this summer: Jan Sommer from Switzerland and Jelte Krijnsen from the Netherlands.

Jan Sommer, a 23-year-old rider with a cross background but with a solid season of road racing under the Swiss National team, is eager to further hone his skills. Despite being a bit older than the trend of younger athletes joining Pro teams, Sommer remains optimistic and motivated.

“As the trend in cycling goes into the direction of younger and younger athletes joining a Pro team super early and I’m already a bit older (23yo), I’m really happy and proud to get the opportunity to join Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team as a trainee this summer! I have always worked hard, kept improving and believing in my own path. I want to continue this way this Summer and beyond. I want to give my best in every chance I’m given, learn as much as possible and enjoy the journey,” said Sommer.

Similarly, 23-year-old Dutch rider Jelte Krijnsen is eager to take the start line in Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team colours. With 14 Top-10 placings his season racing for Continental Team Parkhotel Valkenburg, including a stage win at Tour du Loir et Cher (2.2) back in April, Krijnsen has shown his all-rounder potential in both classics and stage races. He’s ready to take the next step in his career and this opportunity to race for Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team might prove pivotal in his aspirations to turn pro.

“I am really glad to get the opportunity to race with the team. This season I have shown that I can compete with the best at Continental level. My goal during the traineeship is to show that I can also compete on professional level. Next to that, I expect to learn a lot and become a better bike racer during my time with Q36.5 Pro Cycling team,” shared Krijnsen.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the racing calendar for both Jan Sommer and Jelte Krijnsen.
